Transmission X ReDesign

24 July 08 | Ramón Pérez

As some of you may have noticed Transmission X recently got a bit of a facelift.

We are constantly trying to make the TX portal more accessible and informative to new and old readers alike. Aside from a new logo design and warmer look to the site we've tried to bring together elements of TX's various creators.

The Home Page features links to all the current comics and archived comics showcased on TX. Each comics listing states said comics update date, it's creators, a link to the comics individual RSS as well as a self imposed rating for concerned parents or readers.

TX:TV now has it's own page where you can see all archived episodes. Once the new season of TX:TV begins, the most current episode will be showcased on the main page.

Newsfeed is a link to all the archived news posts made on Transmission X. Though the most current couple of posts will appear on the main page beneath the main comics listing.

For those who wish to follow what else the TX creators are up to, the main page sidebar features the TX News Reel a current RSS link to all posts made by TX's creators to their individual blogs and various sites!

The most notable edition to the site is an All TX Comics RSS aggregator that gathers ALL the current comics updates into one single feed! So if you're a fan of all the comics here on TX this one little RSS Feed will bring them all to your virtual doorstep!

The site is by no means done, and will morph and change as time goes on. If you as a reader have any suggestions for anything you'd like to see or a navigation problem please feel free to email us at signal (@) transmission-x.com

Paradise Con Roundup

16 July 08 | Brian McLachlan

The Paradise Toronto Comicon is always a good time. The convention focuses mainly on comics, without the typical additions of large sections for gaming, horror, sci-fi, manga, cosplay, video games, mainstream movies and tv promotions and cow tipping.

Most of the TX crew were there, and most had their list of sketch requests filled up quickly. Visitors to the nook of the Holiday Inn where we were all stationed were friendly and full of good vibes, like a Huey Lewis single. It was nice to be in a corner of a carpeted room with large windows to the outside pouring sunshine in on us instead of being stuck in the back of an airplane hanger style industrial space some conventions take place at.

We joined friend of TX, Danielle Corsetto (who does the great Girls With Slingshots webcomic), our buddy Tyrone McCarthy (Corduroy High) and Jeff Moss and Dan Simon of No Reason (who we didn’t know before but quickly grew to find funny and friendly). We’ve done a few panels before but this one was probably the best one we’ve done, with lots of kibitzing around and actual information imparted to people curious about starting their own webcomics. Our best advice: Use Comic Press!
