About TX
Welcome to Transmission X
Transmission X began as the idea of Eric Kim, who wanted to create a forum to showcase stories by local authors and artists. During the formative months of the collective Eric approached and conscripted the talents of Arthur Dela Cruz, Kalman Andraszofzky, Andy Belanger and Ramón Pérez.
As the tentative launch date of new years day of 2007 approached Eric Kim stepped down from Transmission X due to an overwhelming freelance schedule. As the team lost one it gained new members in the likes of Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kerschl. Talented creators keen on sharing their own visions.
The launch date of Transmission X was made to coincide with the TORONTO PARADISE COMICON held in June of 2007. That month saw the launch of Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kerschl's THE NORTH SEA AP[OCH, Karl Kerschl's THE ABOMINABLE CHARLES CHRISTOPHER, Andy Belanger's RAISING HELL, Scott Hepburn's THE PORT and Cameron Stewart's SIN TITULO.
A second wave of stories was launched at THE TORONTO COMIC ARTS FESTIVAL later that summer in august. The titles premiering were Michael Cho's PAPERCUT. Arthur Dela Cruz's KISSING CHAOS, Brian Maclachlan's THE PRINCESS PLANET and Ramón Pérez's KUKUBURI. Later that fall the Transmission X welcomed Claudia DáVila's LUZ to the fold.
